Six Cities, One Farewell

Sony Pictures Networks India had a departing CEO and thousands of employees spread across the map. The annual day and rewards night had to carry two weights at once — a celebration and a send-off — and it had to feel like the first proper gathering since the offices went quiet. Nobody wanted a screen-lit apology for a party. They wanted the real thing, everywhere, on the same nights.

Mumbai anchored it: two ballrooms running in parallel, one a full-throttle party, the other a low-lit room built around live musicians for the crowd that wanted to talk over the music instead of under it. An Indian Idol finalist, stand-up sets and live bands moved through the programme. For the teams too far to fly in, five more events lit up across the country — six nights in all, so the farewell reached everyone who'd worked under him.
